Mahogany Veneer over Oak, original brass handle and escutcheon.

Gorgeous, rare English Georgian tea caddy is made of mahogany veneer over oak and has the original escutcheon, lock, probably handle and feet. It has three compartments, for black and green tea and mixing bowl, and for the spoon at the back. It dates from around 1780.

The box is in good antique condition.
